Ghost hunter Jacqueline

Jacqueline Davitt, an author from Barrowford, is working on a book about witches, ghosts and boggarts in Burnley, Pendle and the Ribble Valley.

If you have experienced your very own "Most Haunted" moment and are eager to share your tale, Jacqueline wants to hear from you.

Although the book will feature the well-known stories of the Pendle witches and Colne Hall, Jacqueline hopes to add a new twist to her book by including tales that are not so well documented and any brand new tales.

Jacqueline said: "I've never seen a ghost, I'm not a ghost hunter, but I have heard from people, who I don't doubt, that they have seen ghosts in modern dress. I would prefer the stories to be corroborated, but I am willing to listen to anything people have to offer."

This is the first time that Jacqueline has ventured into the book world, after much success with her short-fiction work.

Jacqueline, a former psychiatric social worker, said: "I'm completely new to all this. This project is exciting and has been keeping me going through the winter months.

"It is a very steep learning curve. I'm meeting some interesting people and I'm learning all new and wonderful things that I've never had the chance to look at before."
