Chinese visit for twinning plan

Chinese dignitaries are to visit Lancashire to set up a twinning agreement with the Pendle area.

The group, from Changzhi municipal government, is due to visit Nelson and Barrowford next week. They are due to sign a co-operation document with officials from Pendle Council, which is one of the first steps in the twinning process.

The Chinese representatives will also meet local business owners and tour Pendle's Heritage Centre. The group will meet at Nelson Town Hall on Monday afternoon.
